When I first started in Advertising Sales working 9am-5:30pm (or later), my diet was a mess!

I started most mornings with a muffin, bagel, or oatmeal from Jamba Juice.

Lunches were typically sandwiches, salads, or whatever else I would buy out.

Some times we would have a client lunch or dinner.

I constantly ate out and felt like I didn't have the time to cook.

Reality was I didn't want to spend my time cooking.

Many nights I felt exhausted and just wanted to come home and sit on the

couch to watch TV.

After 2 years of doing this, I realized my emotions were really all over the place.

I was moody on a daily basis, my stomach was bothering me, I didn't like how my

body felt or looked, and it was impacting my relationship with my boyfriend.

I was no longer the fun, loving person he once knew.

I wore my stress on my sleeves and I didn't want to do much of anything.

Inside I felt awful and I realized I wanted to feel good again.

In college when I saw a functional medicine doctor I was put on a very restrictive diet in which I learned how to prepare food easily.

I decided to go back to that, focusing more on green vegetables and proteins.

I reduced my gluten intake and dairy intake, which really impacted my thoughts and improved my mood.

I noticed if I didn't have anything prepared, than I would be more likely to eat something I really shouldn't have.

I realized how crucial it was for me to prepare and I made Sunday's my day.

I have now evolved to the place where some mornings before I go to work I cook my lunch for the day.

It is possible to make the time to cook and it doesn't have to be stressful!
