Cancer Full Moon Ritual - 1/6/23




The moon will become officially full at 6:09pm EST in Cancer on January 6.


The moon is in its home sign of cancer so the energy can feel very harmonious and strong right now.


Typically with full moons our emotions can feel a little bit all over the place or intense, but keep in mind, Cancer is an intuitive water sign, so feelings and emotions may be very high right now.

This is a good time to work towards accomplishing goals but in a relaxed way - flowing with it and nourishing yourself rather than pushing and burning out.


You may feel called to find balance between being too hard on yourself and too gentle with yourself - figuring out what you should do more and less of.

Right now you may be experiencing major transformations.

See what house you have cancer and Capricorn in as you may find these changes are occurring in those houses.


With all the changes that may be happening around you in your life, do your best to release control and find comfort in uncertainty.


This is a good time to remember what is important to you.

Keep in mind Mars and Mercury are currently retrograde so you may be feeling a bit frustrated, foggy, or even some tension. Allow yourself to flow with whatever is coming up and if you don’t feel called to make a decision then don’t pressure yourself to.


Right now is a good time to slow down, be more patient, be gentle with yourself, really turn inwards and learn more about yourself.

It is okay if things don’t feel fully clear - allow yourself the space to contemplate.


Pay attention to your emotions and allow your heart to guide you.


Your intuition may be heightened right now so trust your instincts.


This is a good full moon to reflect on the past year and to find ways to bring more alignment into your life.


Remember to nurture your positive mindset and ground your energy while being gentle with yourself.

MEDITATION

Get comfortable and close your eyes - i want you to imagine white light coming down through the sky in through the top of your head - flowing down into your arms and into your hands as well as through your torso into your legs out your feet and connecting you into the core of the earth - you are connecting to both the stars and the earth - allow yourself to remain open to this connection and return your focus to your breath when your mind starts to wander.

You can bring your hands to your heart - Thank you full moon for the healing and growth I received tonight. Thank you for all your support. Thank you team for aiding me on my journey. Thank you me for honoring myself and making the time. Thank you.


You can take one last deep breath if that feels good - maybe take a quick stretch and when you are ready, slowly open your eyes and take as much time as you need.

If you feel called, get outside and bathe in the light of the full moon - let it nourish you.
